I started my career as a biologist and I’ve worked with English Nature, The Agricultural Research Council, and the Open University. Since ordination in 1987, I served churches in Leicester, Houghton le Spring and Sunderland. I have a lifetime of practical experience supporting people with their mental health.
In September 2019, I retired from full time church ministry and now concentrate on Mental Health training with churches and Christian charities. I am an accredited Mental Health First Aid instructor and have worked with school academy groups, homeless charities, and the diocese of Durham and of Newcastle. I’ve delivered over 100 MHFA courses.
‘The Gospel and Mental Wellbeing’ draws on this experience to explore the subject from a biblical perspective and equip Christians to support others.
